AN E-MAIL

Hi Anna,

I'm going to write about one of the most important languages around the world: English.
I think that we must study it because it is useful to look for a job in the future or to travel around the world. I can speak Catalan and Spanish, but I don't like French.

I've studied English since I was six more or less at the school but I also practise this language in Cambridge School twice a week. Currently, I've taken Trinity 1, Trinity 2, Trinity 3, K.E.T and P.E.T. I think that having these certificates can help me for my professional future.
This year, I think that my English results are very good. Every year I can learn more and it is more positive for my English. This year is different than others, because we do different things; I think that it is more interesting and funny for us.

AMERICAN HISTORY.

The United States is a big country that it's situated in the north of America. The people who live there speak english. It has got fifty states, that explains why in its flag we can find fifty stars, too.
Recently, there has been elections and won Barack Obama. It were a very important event around the world, because the U.S is the most important powerfull country in the world. Also, because about their history Barack Obama (democratic) is the first black president. Before that, Martin Luther King was a very important politician that he defended the american rights of /afroamericans/ in the United States.
This american country was formed in 4th July in 1776, when there was independent. Now, if we can travel to the United States we can see its famous building, The Statue of Liberty. It was built because it got the independence.
These last years, the United States has participated in a lot of wars such as the Iraq's war. On 11th September 2001 there was a terrorific atempt. Its Twin Towers were felt because two airplanes crashed to them, lot of people died in this event.

The mysterious robbery

Last Saturday, a group of five members stole 35.000.000$ in the Central Park Bank in New York. They unlocked the alarms, and then they escaped with two helicopters. Nowadays, police is looking for them.

The robbery happenned on Saturday 4th of July in the most important bank in USA, the Central Park Bank (CPB), in New York.
Firstly, the thiefs unlocked the alarms and then they came into the building through the windows. Fortunately, there wasn't a lof of people there. After this, police arrived in the outskirts of the CPB . There was a lot of chaos; a crowd of people were running in differents directions and some children were alone crying. While it was happening in the outskirts of the CPB, inside, the thiefs started to shot everywhere. Few people were hurt, but fortunately, nobody died.

Two hours later, the thiefs went out and escaped with two helicopters, which were waiting on the roof. Police didn't take part because the thiefs escaped very quickly.

Now, police is looking for them, but nobody knows where the thiefs are hide.

Hello!

My name is Marta and I'm fifteen years old. I live in Figueres with my parents and with my brother, too. My birthday is on 30th January in 1993.
I'm studying 4th of ESO in a secundary school, IES Ramon Muntaner.
I like listening music, such as Sum41, Simple Plan or catalan rock groups. Another hobbie that I like a lot is playing basketball, so I practise this sport with my basketball team: C.B.Escolàpies. At the free time I sometimes read a books, or going out with my friends to the cinema, but I think that my favourite hobbie is chatting in the internet with my friends, too.
